Nadia and I have been in Melbourne for over twenty years but today is the first time we went to the Melbourne Royal Show – an annual agricultural show that’s been running in Melbourne since 1848!
We skipped the many, many rides and games that were on offer and we didn’t watch any of the performances and displays, but we did get to pet several farm animals and Nadia got to cuddle a 12-week-old dingo puppy named Chase :)
We also ate some excellent Filipino barbecue and, later, some Dutch pancakes.
I bought some jam and chutney from the Country Women’s Association (CWA) canteen, as well as the latest edition of the CWA Victoria cooking book.
All in all, we had a good time.
I’d taken my camera with me to the show, but I didn’t take many photos. I was having more fun just wandering around and looking at things. Here are some of the photos I did take.
