[Photo walk] Kangaroos at Northern Memorial Park

There’s a mob of Eastern Grey kangaroos that live among the red gums planted at the north-east corner of Melbourne’s Northern Memorial Park. I went over to check them out and take a couple of photos with my long lens.

(Of course I took some photos on the way there too.)

Rare leucistic (white) kangaroo

In case you’re wondering, albinism is a congenital absence of pigmentation while leucism is a partial loss of pigmentation. Notably, in the latter condition the irises of your eyes don’t lose their pigmentation.
