Earthquake Relief Information: Disclaimer

We cannot guarantee the veracity and/or reliability of all the information presented on this site. We personally know some of the people involved in the many relief efforts listed here and can, therefore, vouch for the work that they are doing. We cannot, however, vouch for everyone; especially the many international relief efforts that we have included in our listings.

Should you have any inquiries about any of the people and/or organizations listed here please e-mail us at earthquake@insanityworks.org and we will tell you all we can about them; i.e. what we know about them, where we heard about their efforts and how reliable we think/know they are.

In general, though, all the people and organizations listed here have been listed here because of their genuine desire to help the people affected by the earthquake. It is true that some may hope to get other kinds of mileage out of it, but that's okay as long as the affected people are getting the help they need. It is, therefore, highly likely that wherever you send your money or goods, wherever you volunteer and whichever organization you donate your blood to, it will end up helping the people affected by the earthquake. So please, do so freely, do so plentifully, and do so soon.

P.S. A quick clarification: the name "insanityWORKS" does not have anything to do with the earthquake. InsanityWORKS.org is our personal website (and has been for over a year now) to which we have added an earthquake relief section.
