[11.09.04] Album Launched!

We launched our album! For more on how the launch went, check out the forum topic All Rock, No Roll - A Review!!! by Hashriani.

[08.09.04] ALBUM LAUNCH!!!

We are finally launching our album! The launch will take place at 8:00 PM on the 11th of September at Civil Junction (227 4436). Contact CJ for invitations. It'll be an interactive launch: we'll be playing some songs live, some stuff off the CD and (hopefully) telling you a bit about ourselves and how we and our songs have evolved over the years.

I know this website isn't updated as often as it should be -- it is much easier to post news and annoucements on the forums -- and we apologize for that. We hope you forgive us. Secretly, (though it's not so secret any more) we're hoping you'll visit the forums more often since that's where most of the action is anyway! :) See you at the launch!

[10.06.04] Corduroy Back at CJ, the end of the album...and an album promo!

After a long break, Corduroy performed at CJ again this evening! We didn't play for long, but it was good to be back. You can read about it in the forums (assuming someone writes something about it, of course!).

Also, the audio for our album is complete! We just need to send it to get pressed now. Should do doing that sometime this week, methinks. To whet your appetites, here's a short promo [MP3 3.2 MB] of some of the songs on the album. Tell us what you think on the forums.

[28.06.04] Updated Lyrics, Ali's Photo
We've updated the lyrics for Aas, Goddamned and Wide Awake and Ali's sexy photo has been uploaded, too! Tell us what you think in the forums.

[22.06.04] 100 Forum Users, an Album Cover and a Deadline!
Mubarak ho! [i.e. "Congrats!", for those who don't speak Urdu] We now have 100 forum users! HH, whoever you are, you've just gotten yourself a free CD (once we release it, of course). And talking about the CD, we've set ourselves a deadline: and that deadline is 1st July. Yes, 1st July is the date we're going to send our CD to our presser/printer for...er, pressing and printing. The album cover is done (details on this forum topic), our CD is 98.3% complete, we've arranged for funds the pressing, printing and distributing...we're (gasp!) actually almost there!

[21.06.04] Website Problems

If you tried to visit our site on the 20th and 21st, then you'll know that it was down. If you didn't, well, take our word for it :) What happened was that our web host faced two rather vicious distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks that forced them to take one of their servers offline. Our website was on that server. They have since put it back online (the attacks stopped, duh!) so things should be back to normal. If you still have problems accessing the site, however, please be patient and try again later. If the attacks continue, they might be forced to take the host offline again. If the problem persists, they'll move our sites to a different host, so things will be back to normal soon no matter what.

To paraphrase Cat Stevens (though most of you will have heard the Mr. Big version): "Ooh baby, baby, its a wild world wide web..." :))

[25.05.04] New Website!

Corduroy has a new website! After being off-line (well, in the "coming soon" state) for five whole days (during which about three and a half people came to visit...the 'half' being the guy who thought about visiting, but decided to cut his toe nails instead), our website is back to hound the 'net! [Hound = sit quietly in corner, tap foot gently with music, move shoulders with beat, occasionally get up to bounce off the walls and head bang till head needs to be screwed back on].

It's newer, simpler, faster and packed with more features. We have MP3's (of our old, new and live songs), wallpapers, a discography, lyrics, photos, band member reviews, FAQ's and more (including video clips that we hope to be putting up soon)! We now also have a sense of humour, albiet a corny one. (We apologize in advance). [More...]

[22.05.04] Album in Final Stages

Corduroy's debut album, The Morning After, is almost finished! With all recordings complete, the band has moved on to the challenging mixing and mastering stage.

"So, when is it coming out, then?!" you ask, excitedly.

We reply: "Well..." [More...]

[15.05.04] We're makin' a VIDEO!!! [And we got Blown Away by the MHB...]
Moby, Sarmad and Ameel hopped over (on a Daewoo bus, no less) to Lahore this weekend. We talked to a video producer about our video, previewed some of our album to a music critic, and were humbled at a Meekal Hasan Band concert. [A Little More...]
