WIDE AWAKE

Daylight's come and gone, but I can't see my head in tow
Nightlight's all I need, just to see my hand in yours...

And I, won't die, when you're gone
Just want to say, until my eyes start bleeding
I don't know that you're gone
I can't stay, until my eyes start bleeding
I won't know that you're gone
'Cause I'm wide awake

Daylight's come and gone, counting stars, counting stones
The morning after came, etched in rain that singed and burned

And I, won't die, when you're gone
Just want to say, until my eyes start bleeding
I don't know that you're gone
I can't stay, until my eyes start bleeding
I won't know that you're gone
'Cause I'm wide awake

We don't play this live too often, but Adult Contemporary listeners liked this off our demo CD the most. For those who've heard the old version, tell us what you think of the new lyrics.

I just got finished listening to Wide Awake, and wow, this song is great. It definitely sounds like Pearl Jam playing a song with the likes of Guster. Great moving guitar vocals, ripping guitar solo with extremely mellow tones. The guitar moves like rain drifting off the windshield of a slow moving car. Excellent Harmonies and moving lyrics. One of the best songs to be played on my computers. Very impressive!

WOW!!!!! Nice composistions and your voice is really GOOD. Are you sure your not really Pearl Jam, and just being sneaky?
