<Start PR-Speak>
Corduroy is a 5-piece hard rock unit from Islamabad that endeavours to make melodic rock music that arcs between the pop sensibilities of Collective Soul and REM, and the full-on testosterone thrust of Pearl Jam and the Stone Temple Pilots. Throw in a lead guitar player inspired by master technicians Joe Satriani and Eddie Van Halen, and you have a band that puts its individual stamp on the music it makes. Often compared to bands as diverse as Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Hootie and the Blowfish, Alice in Chains, Van Halen and System of a Down, Corduroy prides itself on its moody diversity -- something that comes to the fore on its debut album, The Morning After, soon to be released around Pakistan.
